Here's how much the game graphics will improve thanks to the new Retina Display in iPad 3

In the iPad 3, Apple will implement a Retina Display that will most likely have a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels compared to only 1024 x 768 pixels that the iPad 2 tablet now has. Consequently, there will be 4 times more pixels on the screens of our tablets and the graphics of the games will be greatly improved, as you can already see in the image above. A game developer wanted us show how much will the graphics of future games compatible with the iPad 3's Retina Display change, and I think he managed to do this.

Bearing in mind that the 20MB mobile network download size for apps is already claustrophobia inducing, supporting Retina on iPad 3 while respecting the limit would be very hard," the developer wrote. "So if we do see a Retina iPad 3, expect to see that 20MB limit raised, even if only for iPad / universal apps.

Besides the demonstration, the developer also raised an interesting problem, that of the size of the applications for the new tablet. Changing the graphics for the new screen will result in applications that will take up more space and Apple will have to increase the download limit for applications from the App Store. Now an application can be downloaded via 3G only if it has a maximum of 20 MB, but the implementation of a Retina Display will probably force Apple to double this limit for applications compatible with the new tablet.

Unfortunately, the space occupied by these applications in our device will be larger, so it would be advisable to buy a tablet with 32 GB of space if you want to be able to install many applications, copy music and possibly movies on it.
