Last summer, those from TheVerge announced to the whole world that iPad HD could be the name of the new tablet that Apple was developing. In February I presented you with the image above in which we confirm the name of the new tablet and after the information was picked up by Gizmodo, and several dozen other sites, those from cNET I am coming now to confirm the fact that the iPad HD will actually be the iPad 3. They have the information from various sources inside the Apple company and if we are to corroborate it with the information in the image above and with those discovered by others then it seems that the new tablet will have this name.
CNET has learned that Apple's next tablet will be called the iPad HD instead of the iPad 3. A developer who's previously provided reliable information with respect to things Apple and otherwise tells us the next iPad uses the HD moniker instead of going with “iPad 3. "
cNET also talked to the owners of domains such as iPadHD.com, iPadHD.co.uk and iPadHD.biz and none of them have been contacted by Apple to purchase the domains, but this could happen in the next days/weeks. For now, there is no 100% clear and reliable evidence that Apple will use this name, but more and more information indicates that this will happen. If you still wonder what is the rationale behind the name, well the Retina Display with 2048 x 1536 Full HD resolution seems to have convinced Apple to give the tablet a name that can be promoted extremely well.
