For several tens of minutes, the new ipad tablet has been available for purchase in 10 countries around the world at prices starting at $499. In Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, Great Britain the tablet is now available for purchase and prices vary between $499 and $839 in the US and €499 in Europe. The tablets pre-ordered today will be delivered starting on March 16 or later depending on the number of orders placed in Apple stores, but on March 16 the tablet will be available for purchase in Apple stores in those countries.
A week later, on March 23, the tablet will be available for purchase in several dozen more countries, Romania being among them. With us, the tablet should be available at prices starting from 2099 RON at Apple product resellers and online stores.
