Samsung refuses to license Apple's technologies

Two days ago I told you that Apple made licensing offers to Samsung and Motorola asking between $5-$15 for each Android terminal sold by the two companies. The figure represents approximately 1-2.5% of the price of each terminal and the offer would have been made against the wishes of the legendary CEO Steve Jobs. Samsung was the first company that he answered the licensing offer and of course that Apple was met with a refusal that will probably come from the Motorola company as well because the chances of a peaceful conclusion of the processes between the companies were quite small.

Samsung Electronics is showing no signs of compromising with Apple in their patent dispute; rather, the company appears ready to go for broke in what it increasingly sees as a do-or-die battle.

"No compromise!'' Shin Jong-kyun, the head of the firm's telecommunication division, told The Korea Times Wednesday after a meeting of senior company officials.

I assume that Apple will not revise its licensing offer and will continue to win lawsuits against the Samsung company, something that has already become quite common unfortunately.
