Apple announces that it has sold the entire stock of iPad tablets allocated to pre-orders

The New iPad

Just two days after the launch of the iPad tablet, Apple gave a press release to the famous newspaper USA Today and admitted that the entire stock allocated to pre-orders has already been sold. Moreover, the company from Cupertino admits that the demand for the new tablet was extremely high, but did not specify whether it exceeded that of previous years. For now, the US Apple website lists March 19 as the delivery date for orders placed now, but in some European countries the tablets ordered now reach users in barely 2-3 weeks.

Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased. Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.

Probably everyone expected Apple to run out of tablets much earlier, but the product has been in the manufacturing process for more than a month, so Apple would have prepared several million units for the pre-order process that started on Wednesday. Tomorrow we will probably find out how many units of iPad tablets Apple has prepared for delivery starting on Friday, and I hope that the releases on March 23 will not be affected by the demand registered by the company so far.
