Here's what happens to your phone after you lose it

  I assume that there are peintre you people who once lost their phone and I assume that you have wondered what happens to the data in it if the devices are found. Well, the famous security company Symantec asked exactly the same thing did a study quite complex to find out what people do who find a mobile phone on the street. Those from Symantec bought 50 smartphones in which they installed various applications marked as having "sensitive" information and installed various monitoring software and then placed them in various locations in large cities in the USA and Canada.

  Well, after a few weeks of picking dates, here are the results:

  • 96% of the lost terminals were accessed by the finders;
  • half of those who discovered a mobile terminal tried to return it, but only after accessing its content;
  • 60% of the finders tried to access social network accounts (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and email accounts;
  • 80% tried to access documents marked as belonging to some companies;
  • half of the finders accessed a special application that was presented as being able to connect to a local network;
  • half of the finders tried to access the bank account of the former owner based on the information from the terminal.

  Practically, most of those who find a mobile phone check it thoroughly before trying to return it, so the data left in it is most likely compromised before you re-enter its possession.
