The new iPad tablet would have a 1.2 GHz processor according to iFixIt

The people from iFixIt bought the new iPad tablet from a store in Australia and started taking it apart and here I presented you with all the news discovered by them. A very interesting detail that they have just published denotes the fact that the dual-core processor A5X of the new iPad tablet would actually have 1.2 GHz and not 1 GHZ, as initially thought. Those from iFixIt do not specify the way in which they would have deduced that the new processor would be clocked at the speed of 1.2 GHz and the information is contradictory to that provided by the first benchmark software, but there is a chance that those programs have read the processor speed incorrectly.

There isn't much difference between the old and new version of the A5: an "x" in the name and an extra 0.2 GHz clock speed.

Of course, Apple failed to announce the speed of its new processor, so it remains to be seen if other testers will reach the same conclusion.
