Because in Romania "everything that flies is eaten", the famous television Pro TV and the much less known station Digi 24 they wrote today that Apple will open the largest store in Southeast Europe in Bucharest. The title is 90% identical on both sites and I personally think that the guys from Digi 24 took it from Pro TV without the source, so the lie was perpetuated from one site to another. I didn't follow the news bulletins from Pro Tv or Digi 24, but I assume that there the big headline will be the same because that's how journalism is here. I don't know if the people from iStyle provided the title or informed this or the journalists from Pro TV have no idea what Apple means, but the error is the same and many Romanians will think that they are buying products from an Apple store, which is not true.
I asked George Buhnici, who covers the technology area of the section of the Pro TV website that presents this news, and he confirmed to me that Apple has not opened any stores in Romania, so you can see for yourself how credible they are the information presented by the most popular TV station from us.
UPDATE 19: 00: The stupidity is extremely widespread because many sites have published articles with misleading headlines today. The intention is, it seems, to lie to the users, but it is unclear if iStyle lied in the promotional materials or all the sites intentionally lie in the advertisements. Considering this deceptive campaign made for the opening of this store, you should make up your own mind about the services offered by it.
