Apple could launch new iMacs in June or July

iMac

In the summer of this year, Apple would launch OS X Mountain Lion, a new version of the OS X Lion operating system that will bring new options for Mac owners. So far I have found out that Apple would launch new MacBook Pro models in the summer, however, it seems like new models of the iMac may be available in exactly the same period and everything seems to be related to the operating system. The new Macs will of course come with processors built on the new Ivy Bridge platform that will be officially launched by Intel at the end of this month and models with i5/i7 processors would be launched for users.

  • Core i7-3770K
  • Core i7-3770
  • Core i7-3770S
  • Core i7-3770T
  • Core i5-3550

Last year Apple launched a new version of the iMac in May, but this year the product update seems to be delayed by about a month, if we are to believe the rumors. It is not known if the products will also have a new design, but for now this seems unlikely, even though it has been several years since Apple implemented such a change. The prices of iMacs would remain unchanged, this being Apple's policy for several years.
