A few weeks ago we told you that RockStar Games, the producers of the famous Grand Theft Auto series, will launch the Max Payne Mobile game in the App Store thanks to the success of Grand Theft Auto III in recent months. Although we didn't know then when the game would be available, here it is today from RockStar Games announced officially, starting from April 12, their title will be available on the iOS platform for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Practically in less than a week we will be able to buy Max Payne from Apple and if the game will be built as well as Grand Theft Auto III then we will have a great experience.
We're pleased to announce that Max Payne Mobile will be available exclusively for iOS devices on Thursday, April 12th, with the Android version launching two weeks later on April 26th. The full classic Max Payne PC experience, Max Payne Mobile has been optimized for both iOS and Android devices and features HD graphics, high-resolution textures, Social Club connectivity and user-customizable controls. Max Payne Mobile on iOS supports the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4, iPad 1, iPad 2 and the new iPad. We'll have a list of supported Android devices in the coming weeks.
The version that RockStar Games is going to release is ported from the PC, so we are talking about an old title but with improved graphics and probably optimized for the iPad 3 tablet and its Retina Display. Regarding compatibility with current iDevices, those from Rockstar Games say that Max Payne Mobile can be installed on: Phone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4, iPad 1, iPad 2 and the new iPad tablet. Unfortunately, details regarding the price of Max Payne Mobile have not been published, but you can expect to have to take out approximately 5-6 euros from your pockets to make the purchase.
