An American reporter received consent management of the Foxconn factory in Shenzen to film inside the locations where the production lines of the iPad tablet are located and in the video clip above you can see the entire process. Almost 250.000 employees work in that factory, but only a part assembles iPad tablets and the entire production process only partially involves human intervention. Those from Foxconn use both industrial robots and employees to assemble Apple's tablets, and in this clip the conditions in which people work seem to be much better than those of some domestic factories.

Marketplace Shanghai Bureau Chief Rob Schmitz is only the second reporter ever to gain access to visit the factory floor at Apple's Chinese producer Foxconn. See highlights from his tour of the assembly line and the Foxconn facilities. Hear his full audio reports on your local public radio station or online at http://www.marketplace.org.

Some steps of the production process are done in just a few seconds and the employees change their work locations once every few days and after a few years of work the salary of the employees doubles, so Foxconn has changed the working conditions in its own factories for good. By watching this video clip, you can better understand how an iPad tablet is "born" and you can get an idea of how Foxconn employees work, but no one knows for sure what happens when the cameras go off.
