Mobile phone operators in Europe believe that the Nokia Lumia series cannot compete with the iPhone or Android terminals

Although Nokia has invested a considerable amount of money to promote the Lumia series in the US, in Europe mobile operators are dissatisfied with the way the company runs its campaigns. To begin with, representatives of the operators say that at the moment iPhone terminals and those equipped with Android OS are much more attractive and the Lumia series would have been more successful if it had Android and powerful hardware. The representatives of the major mobile operators in Europe claim that the terminals with Nokia with Windows Phone OS are much too expensive, they have an operating system lacking innovations that has functionality problems and that does not attract consumers, but that is not all because the design does not seem to be a strong point of the terminals either.

An unnamed European mobile phone executive said, "No one comes into the store and asks for a Windows phone. Nokia have given themselves a double challenge: to restore their credibility in terms of making hardware smartphones and succeed with the Microsoft Windows operating system, which lags in the market. If the Lumia with the same hardware came with Android in it and not Windows, it would be much easier to sell."

The sad story of those from Nokia does not stop here because the operators say that the marketing department of the Finnish company does not do enough to promote their terminals and the customers who enter the operators' stores rarely ask to buy a terminal from the Finns. In short, the operators do not trust the Nokia terminals and this will affect the company's sales because the operators will not make great efforts to promote them. In the USA, the Lumia 900 terminal seems to be successful, but it is not available in Europe, so it remains to be seen if Nokia will turn these criticisms into productive changes and attract the attention of consumers.
