Apple has a cash reserve of 110.2 billion dollars

During the conference for the presentation of the financial results for Q2 2012, Apple representatives announced as at the moment the company has a monetary reserve of over 110 billion dollars, 12 billion more than the one held 3 months ago. This amount represents liquidity and long/short term investments and a very large part of them are available outside the American territory. The amount is enormous and would allow the Apple company to acquire some of its competitors, but those from Cupertino chose to buy back part of the shares on the stock market and to pay dividends.

This amount was collected by Apple in more than a decade, but most of it entered Apple's accounts after the launch of the first model of the iPhone terminal.
