SoftPad turns your iDevice into a computer trackpad

SoftPad is an application published this evening in Cydia, and with its help you can control your computer, just as you would using a trackpad. Practically, the application interface displays a tactile surface that allows you to control the cursor on your computer screen. In addition to the trackpad, the application also offers you the option of activating a virtual keyboard that allows you to write text on the computer, all without touching the physical keyboard that you already have connected to it.

This open source application lets you control your computer (Windows) using your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can use it as a wireless TrackPad and Keyboard. You can also control your computer using the iPhone touch screen. 'Installation instructions' and 'how to use' are posted on the SoftPad website. You will need to download a server app which you will find in the above link. This is an open source program and source code will be uploaded to GitHub. Link to the github is posted on the website

SoftPad only works wirelessly and needs a server program installed on your computer, but that's how all applications of this kind are used. SoftPad is available for free in Cydia, it only works with iOS 5, and you can download the server program available here.
