FaceBook presents AppCenter – a catalog of applications for any mobile terminal

Last night the Facebook company submitted officially its new App Center, a catalog of applications that will help developers better promote their titles and help users find the applications they are interested in more quickly. App Center contains applications for iOS, Android OS, HTML 5 and other platforms, but practically Google does not offer you the applications that you have in the App Store, but redirects you from their website to the App Store and from there you can download the applications that you interested.

In the coming weeks, people will be able to access the App Center on the web and in the iOS and Android Facebook apps. All canvas, mobile and web apps that follow the guidelines can be listed. All developers should start preparing today to make sure their app is included for the launch. For the over 900 million people that use Facebook, the App Center will become the new, central place to find great apps like Draw SomethingPinterestSpotifyBattle PiratesViddyand Bubble Witch Saga. Everything has an app detail page, which helps people see what makes an app unique and lets them install it before going to an app.

Basically, Facebook does not want to compete with Apple or Google, but wants to create an environment where its users can find and discuss their favorite applications, and then intends to make money from it. The App Center of the Facebook company will contain a rating system for applications, a system that will take into account not only what users say about the application, but also the way in which they interact with it in the App Center. In practice, the App Center should help you discover new and interesting applications, but I have a vague impression that all the already popular ones will be heavily promoted.

App Center will be available to the general public in the following days.
