Homescreen Contacts is a new tweak that was recently published in Cydia, and with its help we can add shortcuts for favorite contacts to Springboard. Unlike other similar tweaks, Homescreen Contacts doesn't just add a link that allows you to call the person, it also adds a menu in which you have listed all the information from the Contacts application. As soon as you click on the icon of the favorite contact, you will have listed: phone number, address, website, the possibility to send a message, the option to initiate a voice/FaceTime call, etc.

Add your favorite friends and loved ones right on your home screen. With this tweak you don't need to open any app when you want to communicate with (Call Message Mail..) your friends. And now you are just one tap away from them. And it is great to see their picture just on the home screen. When you select a special person in the Contacts App, a button 'Add to Home Screen' will be shown at the bottom of the page. After you add one, a special contact icon will be added to your home screen. You open it just like a folder, then you can make calls, send messages, visit personal homepage, open address with maps, almost everything you can do in Contacts App.
What's more, when you modify your friends photos, you can update the icons in settings without adding them again.
The tweak adds a button to the Contacts application that allows you to add the contact to Springboard, and the icon corresponding to it will display the picture you set in the Contacts application. The information about the contact is displayed in a way similar to the one in which the folders are displayed, so you have at your disposal a very powerful utility through which you simplify the process of contacting a person. Homescreen Contacts is available for $1.99 in Cydia, it doesn't work on the iPad tablet, but it only works on iOS 5.
