Google is rushing to launch a competitor to Siri

For some, Siri is a useless technology, but in reality, Siri caught the people from Google on the wrong foot, who since October are developing a similar system that should compete with Apple's assistant. A few months ago I told you that the Google project was called Majel and that it will be prepared for a release in the fall, together with Android OS 5.0. Now those from The Wall Street Journal states that Google has "put its foot on the accelerator" and is hastening the launch of its new system, but for now it is not known when it would include it in the Android OS.

Google, meanwhile, has accelerated plans to launch its own Siri competitor that would work on Android-powered devices, people familiar with the matter have said. Both companies are also trying to make their software more ubiquitous by pushing versions for tablets and TV software, believing consumers are going to want their phones to connect to a range of other wireless devices and services. Analysts said that other tech companies without similar reach will struggle to stay relevant to consumers.

Samsung tried to "attack" Siri with the S Voice system, but their attempt was "crowned" with failure, but Google works on a completely different level. If Google is really developing such a system for several months, then I expect it to be really interesting and to offer functions at least similar to those of Siri. We will of course find out more in the fall of this year or until the fall, it depends on when Google manages to finish its project.
