iOS and Android OS control 90% of the US smartphone market

iOS si AndroidOS are the most popular operating systems for mobile terminals, and on the most important market in the world they control 90% of the sales that take place. According to a study made by the market analysis company named Nielsen, 90% of smartphones owned by Americans run iOS and Android OS, while only a little under 10% run other operating systems for mobile terminals. If you look at the graph above, you will notice that Apple owns 36.3% of the market and the whole batch of Android terminal manufacturers owns 54.6% of the market, the difference of 18.3% being considerable, but small considering that Apple is fighting alone with many manufacturers of Android terminals.

Regarding the division by manufacturers, notice that Apple sells twice as much as the closest manufacturer of Android terminals, Samsung, which is followed at a very short distance by HTC, Motorola and the rest of the horde of Android terminal manufacturers. The fact that Apple alone sells 2 times more than the most powerful manufacturer of Android terminals is a real achievement, those from Apple organize their business quite well to remain competitive.
