Here is how many units the smartphone manufacturers sold in Q2 2012

Smartphone manufacturers have already started to announce how many units they sold/delivered to partners in Q2 2012, and those from Asymco present us with a graph listing both sales/deliveries and estimates for Q2 2012. Neither do those from Neither Apple nor Samsung have announced the number of units sold in Q2 2012, so there we have simple estimates that could turn out to be higher or lower than the actual sales. The only manufacturers that reported real figures are Nokia and Motorola, but neither of the two companies is doing very well compared to the same period last year.

Samsung and Apple are growing, the Asians seem to have a more consistent growth, but of course we will never know how much they sold because they only announced how much they deliver in the distribution channel to partners. Based on the estimates so far, Samsung would have sold about 42/43 million smartphones and Apple sold around 33/34 million units, but we will learn more from Apple on July 24.
