Apple lays off employees of stores in the US, Canada and Great Britain

Although Apple records significant increases in revenue/profit year after year, it seems that now the American company decided to fire a good part of the new employees of several stores around the world. The vast majority of layoffs were focused in Great Britain, the USA or Canada, but it seems that Apple has also chosen to reduce the working hours of some part-time employees. Although no one knows why Apple chose to take these measures, it is speculated that inside the stores there would be problems with employee morale, but we should not forget the complaints related to the low wages and overtime imposed by the company.

Over the past couple of weeks, we've been receiving reports that Apple has been laying off a number of recently-hired staff members at its retail stores. Most of the reports have been coming from Apple retail employees in the United Kingdom, but several of these reports claim that similar actions are taking place at stores around the world. We've also been receiving reports of long-term cutbacks in hours for part-time staff in the United States and Canada.

Apple stores are currently one of the main sources of income for the American company, but the employees are not treated as well as many people would expect. Apple has not commented on the information regarding layoffs and reduced working hours, and probably will not, considering that everything is an internal measure.
