Apple will have to wait until December to be able to ask a court to remove Samsung products from sale in the US

Shortly after the grant the verdict by which an American jury forced Samsung to pay 1.05 billion dollars because some of its products infringe Apple's patents, the American company announced its intention to demand their removal from sale. The other day those from Apple they made a list of devices for which they want to ask to be removed from sale, the request was sent to a US court, but this one will listen to the parties only in December of this year.

The page limits set forth herein will be strictly enforced. Any argument that is not explicitly articulated within the briefing page limits will be disregarded. Any supporting documentation shall be for corroboration purposes solely and shall not be used as a vehicle for circumventing the Court's page limits. Any citations to the record must include the relevant testimony or exhibit language. Any single-spaced bullets in an attempt to circumvent the briefing page limits will be disregarded.

Until December 6, both companies must send to the court the evidence on the basis of which they accuse/defend themselves, and then their lawyers will be heard and the court will decide whether those devices should be removed from sale or not. Considering that in 3 months we are separated from the hearing of the parties, Samsung has a lot of time to modify the Android of its terminals, so the hearing will most likely be useless at that moment. Apple will most likely lose the right to remove those devices from sale until that date, but at least it will get 1.05 billion dollars.
