Apple patents an intelligent system for sorting emails or text messages

A new one was recently registered for the Apple company invention patent which describes an interesting system for sorting emails or text messages according to importance. The prioritization system is not much different from those available for desktops, just like this one is implemented in iOS. Basically, Apple allows users to choose between sorting emails according to the title, the address they come from, or according to a note given to a certain type of message.

In iOS 6 Apple has included for users a so-called VIP Inbox that allows us to choose certain email addresses whose messages are listed there. This VIP Inbox should provide us with only the most important messages from the most important messages, and this is the first step taken by Apple towards a real email sorting system. Of course, the system patented by the company is more complex and is able to work by itself, but it is hard to say when we will have that one available in iOS.
