Android users are changing their habits, they are starting to buy applications

You already know that some users of Android terminals don't really have, or at least didn't have, the habit of buying applications and in the vast majority of cases resort to downloading free applications. iPhone terminal users, on the other hand, embraced the idea of supporting application developers and were more open when it came to buying titles from the App Store. Things still seem to change because since 2011 the users of Android terminals have started to "catch up" behind those with iPhones in this regard, according to a recent study, a study that shows the discrepancy between iOS and Android users on the topic of spending money on applications decreased a lot in the last year.

In 2011, iPhone terminal users came to be far ahead in terms of paid applications, as follows: 39% of iPhone users had more than 20 paid applications and only 3% of them had not purchased any applications. In the case of Android terminal owners, things were the other way around, 12% of users did not have any paid applications and only 10% had over 20 purchased applications.

This year, that difference seems to have decreased, because 19% of Android terminal owners have over 20 paid applications, and 6% have only free applications, in the case of iOS, the percentage dropping from 39% to only 26%. So, in one year, the number of Android users who buy applications has almost doubled, while the number of those who only have free applications has halved. As far as the owners of iPhone terminals are concerned, the number of those who buy applications has dropped significantly, doubling the number of those who install free applications.
