Starting today, Apple offers users the possibility to pre-order the iPhone 5 through its stores and partner stores, the distribution price being somewhat higher than the one registered last year for iPhone 4S. The difference between the distribution prices is also reflected in the price of the components because according to the first estimates, the iPhone 5 is $34 more expensive than the iPhone 4S. Of course, these prices are estimates and they could be lower based on the contracts signed by Apple, but the price difference in the table does not justify an increase of at least €50 in the selling price in Europe.
