Samsung compares the money requested by Apple for infringing patents with the amount needed to build the robot Curiosity and not only

In the process between Apple and Samsung, the Koreans did a comparison between the money requested by Apple for patent infringement and other amounts spent in various contexts. Samsung says that the amount is far too high because it exceeds the amount invested by the US to send the robot Curiosity to Mars, it is bigger than the budget of San Jose and the list goes on. The judge who presided over the case rejected the request to include this graphic in the evidentiary material and the decision is perhaps good because it would have generated enough confusion among the jurors.

American law does not say that Apple cannot ask for whatever it wants, and the jury proved that the amount was really too high.
