Many users complained that after installation iOS 6 on your own devices the App Store works extremely hard and not only in terms of installing applications, but also in terms of menu navigation. Those from OS X Daily I believe that the problem is related to the system Genius for Apps, a system that analyzes everything you view/search/download from the App Store and makes personalized recommendations. This system analyzes everything and it seems that it would affect the access/download times of the applications, and to solve the problem there is a simple solution, its deactivation.
To deactivate Genius for Apps you have to go in Settings>Privacy (which must be On)>Location Services>System Services (at the bottom of the menu) and disable the Genius for Apps option. I disabled it all the time from the Location Services system and I never had any problem accessing/downloading applications from the App Store, so this is probably how you will solve the situation.
