Sharp presents its own 1080p screens with 443 pixels per inch

A few weeks ago I told you that Oppo Finder is the first smartphone that has a 5-inch screen with 1080p resolution, 1920 x 1080 pixels, and 441 pixels per inch, and now at CEATEC 2012 appeared other screens produced by Sharp, screens that have the same resolution but 443 pixels per inch. Sharp uses IGZO technology to insert so many pixels into a screen, and the units produced now will definitely end up in some Android terminals to be launched in the near future. In the images in this article you have a comparison made with the iPhone 5, but also various images displayed on the screen which is amazing.

  1. Well, this gives a screen, but as I'm used to now, everyone will say that we don't need something like that in the iPhone, why do we need a full HD screen, they don't even need HD...

  2. well, this screen consumes serious resources and the human eye does not make the difference. what does it help maybe only in marketing..

  3. I don't understand how you can give your opinion about the quality of the screen from some pictures on the internet... or do you like the way 'full hd' sounds and that's it... it's the best screen

  4. Gigele, dear, if you are super satisfied with the quality of your screen, which has 330 ppi and a lousy resolution of 900 by 600 and more recently 1150 by 600, is that how I sit and ask you, don't you think that a screen with over 100 ppi more than yours and with a double resolution would the images look much much better?

  5. @Point. If you stick your eye to this type of FHD screen, you might see the difference... But as we normal people don't, we prefer 330ppi.

  6. @point, or more information!
I know that sharp always produced the best displays in terms of resistance and contrast, that's why sony did what it did, then the others. I say it from my own experience.
Well done Sharp, the same, but I hope to remain made in Japan!

  7. they started…. why do you need to consume a lot etc... riles? if I received this in ip 5, it was not good?????? grow up boys!

  8. The problem with TV is the transmission of information...And the movies themselves...if now a 1080p has 20 GB or more, will you realize that in the 4k format it jumps by a hundred? if someone doesn't come up with a brilliant idea like for example the mp3 format, it's a bit of a bad moment...

  9. Dear people, I am not strictly referring to the ppi, I know for myself that the human eye does not distinguish pixels from 300 ppi upwards, look at the iPhone 4 I can distinguish them quite well and it has 336 if I am not mistaken. Besides ppi is also the HD resolution, which that resolution renders images with much better and clearer contrasts than a non-HD screen, that's what we're talking about here, HD non-HD....
I suspect that you all have a TV or an HD monitor at home. If you put a movie in HD format on a non-HD monitor and another HD one, will your eye notice the difference? I want to know this too?

  10. point friend, you have nothing to do with technology. and I didn't say that the iPhone has the best resolution or something like that.

  11. Don't get your brothers an iPhone 5 with a "miserable NON-HD" screen, wait a little longer and get an Android with a Full-HD screen, what a great mother you will be! I won't be able to sleep through the strange nights... :-))

  12. No one said that it would be miserable, but only that Full-HD is better. Just like 4″ is better, like 1GB of RAM is better… Bro.

  13. For the Galaxy Note 3, this screen wouldn't hurt, but the iPhone is made for everyone and I wouldn't want it to have a screen bigger than 4", but it should come with HD resolution, it would be about 380ppi. I have never seen the 640 x 1136 resolution anywhere and I don't like it only from this point of view, otherwise, the iPhone 5 screen is almost perfect.

  14. @point , "mess of resolution" ??!! You are dust, my friend... If you had a 1m diagonal cocalar plasma, yes... it would be a mess... yes, that resolution in 3.5" at 327 ppi is absolute quality. Go into a store and pick up an iPhone 4/4S and cry because you have no idea what you're talking about.

  15. @point read on useful specialist sites, if I'm not mistaken, it's also here on idevice, about the comparison of the screens between the S3 (which is HD) and the "messy" Retina Display of the IPhone 5, see which one is better ...by the way, what is the resolution of your phone screen? I guess 4k…

  16. What are you doing @point??? What would you like us to stop inventing? Should we stumble into the retina "super display"? The world evolves! Any step forward should be praised, not blamed. Every Romanian is good, only criticized. When the time comes, be sure that Apple will also use such technologies. Others will invent them, and when Apple uses them, all the consumers of this brand will turn their noses up.

  17. What, are you his lawyer? Naturally, progress is to be praised, but you can't be so hypocritical as to call a display on which you can't distinguish the pixels (or please, we, these humans as a species, can't) that it's "mess". Either he's a hypocrite, or he's stupid, or he doesn't have the property of the terms.

  18. I'm still hungry, maybe it's you, you don't have to send me to a store to button up an iPhone 4 because I've been keeping mine thrown in a drawer for a year. At least you can have half of the Apple products that I I have them. It can be seen that a world is more limited in its thinking, to put it another way. What do I say and how do they feel, what did I say to you if you are on fire and you start to offend me. I am dust with technology, woe to you. How hard it is to let your mind wander a little.
I have also specified but I don't have anyone, ok the HD resolution is the worst, we don't need it, the perfect resolution is 1156 by 640, that's the perfect resolution. I don't understand why they invented HD, it's crap, the iphone screen is a dream, not even the tear of a rhinoceros is as pure as the iphone screen. As a result, the iphone renders the most spectacular images, what hd resolutions, what 4k, the iphone with its resolution and its screen pee on them from afar I want to make love with an iPhone, maybe when I go to a store I can touch one myself, thanks Linux.

  19. 1. Maybe because you left it in the drawer, you forgot the quality of the display.
    2. Regarding your remark about starving, I'm 84kg and I'm fine - thank you, don't worry about it (and by the way, where did I say that about you?)
    3. I did NOT say that resolutions higher than those on the Retina display (respectively HD, FullHD, and 4K) are useless or a mess. You can't say that a display where you can NOT distinguish the pixels (neither you, nor any other human on this planet has the eye genetically designed to distinguish so many details) is a mess. The resolution is not HD, but the ppi density makes the display render the image clean, sharp, without imperfections. With a stronger magnifying glass you can see something, but with the naked eye you can't.
    4. Do you think that the nickname "linuxtm" is used "because I like the way it sounds?" Some would say that I have very good knowledge in hardware / software, I am modest and say that I still have to learn, but in no case trivialities like the conversation above. I've been working in IT for a few years, and I'm convinced that "you have someone to explain to", so stay calm, I understand much more complex things than you can explain.

  20. @linuxtm: your experience in IT has nothing to do with genetics, because the human eye differs in each individual, namely depending on the genes of its ancestors, so some can distinguish very well the pixels on the iPhone (me, for example), and for you don't need experience in IT, you need a good vision! No offense…

  21. I don't know what to say, I have up-to-date eye examinations and I have no vision problems. I can easily distinguish the pixels too, but on 2g, 3g and 3gs, not at all on 4, 4S. Maybe I (and many others beside me) have vision problems and the doctors are incompetent 🙂
