Foxconn denies shutting down an iPhone 5 production line due to an employee strike

Yesterday I told you that a Foxconn factory in China was shut down production of terminals iPhone 5 after some employees of the company went on strike. Employees of the production lines of the terminals and inspectors who check the quality of the products manufactured there, went on strike because of the strict rules imposed by Foxconn regarding the quality of the terminals iPhone 5 which are produced in that unit. The management of the company did not want to discuss with the employees a possible solution to the problem, and now deny existing of a strike and admits that a dispute took place between the employees.

Foxconn Technology Group, the parent of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., a major Apple Inc. supplier, said Saturday two disputes between employees occurred at one of its China manufacturing plants this month. The Taiwanese firm said it has taken steps to address the disputes that took place on Oct. 1-2, amid a week-long holiday commemorating China's national day, between a small group of production-line workers and quality-assurance personnel at its Zhengzhou plant in north-central China. "There has been no workplace stoppage in that facility or any other Foxconn facility and production has continued on schedule," Foxconn, which has 1.2 million employees in China, said in a statement.

This is the second protest in which employees were involved, it is the second time that Foxconn's management does not tell the truth to the whole world, but probably everyone was used to this kind of thing. Last week thousands of employees started a revolt after certain people were assaulted by the members of the security team of a factory, the final result consisted of several dozen people hospitalized.
