StifleStand will allow you to hide the NewsStand application from iOS without jailbreaking

StifleStand is an application for Mac OS XThat will be available in the near future, and with its help you will be able to hide the NewsStand application available in our iDevices. This application was included starting with iOS 5, Apple wanting to force users to buy subscriptions for magazines and newspapers and forbids us to include it in any folder in iOS or to delete it. If you have jailbreak there are tweaks like NoNewsIsGoodNews, but if you don't have a jailbreak you'll have to wait until StifleStand is released to permanently hide NewsStand from iOS.

All you have to do is open the application on your Mac, connect your iDevice, press the single button on its interface, and the NewsStand application will be included in a folder called Magic. As soon as the application is moved to that folder, you can do whatever you want with it, you can move it anywhere in iOS, you can include any other applications from the App Store and you practically don't see the application in Springboard anymore. Unfortunately, it is not known when this application will be available and one for Windows will never reach the Internet, so if you use this operating system you will have to jailbreak.

UPDATE: A version compatible with Windows OS will be available next week.
