Tutorial: Install Siri in iOS 6 on iPhone and iPod Touch

Last year there was a real rush to develop a version of the Crab to work on iOS 5 with old iDevices, the world calmed down after the hackers made their servers and offered the assistant for free to everyone, but iOS 6 appeared now and the rush will start again. However, I inform you from now that Crab can be installed on iOS 6 on your terminals with the help of the SiriPort. This version of Siri only works on iPhone and iPod Touch, you can't install it on iPad, but that's not the main problem.

Considering that we are talking about a hack, Siriport will not allow you to connect Siri to Apple's servers, but to the servers of Russians who will have access to all the information that Siri has access to. I'm talking about contacts, emails and pretty much everything you have on your phone, so use the system at your own risk.

This iOS 6 port of Siri can be installed on:

  • iPhone 4/4 (CDMA)
  • iPhone 3Gs
  • iPod Touch 4G

To install Siri on iOS 6 you must:

  1. Jailbreak (+ install Cydia) your iDevice with iOS 6 installed.
  2. open Cydia, go to the menu for adding sources and add the source: http://repo.siriport.ru.
  3. Go to that source and look for the package SiriPort (Original) iOS 6 which you will have to install.
  4. After finishing the installation, go to the Settings menu, scroll down until you find the submenu SiriPort.Ru Original and enter it.
  5. In that menu you will have a button called Install Certificates. Press the button and follow the entire certificate installation procedure.
  6. After installation close the Safari browser, then long press the Home button to activate Siri and you should be able to use the assistant. If Siri does not respond initially, you can try again and possibly reset your iDevice to complete the server authentication procedure.

This is the whole process, after completing it you should have Siri installed on iOS 6 and you should be able to use all its functions without problems.
