Apple is obliged to disclose to Samsung the details of the global agreement concluded with HTC

Last night I told you that Apple and HTC agreed to provide Samsung's lawyers with a redacted version of the licensing agreement concluded between them, but a judge decided that the entire agreement must be presented to Samsung without any redaction. Samsung argued before the court the idea that Apple would have licensed technologies to HTC based on which Samsung lost the trial where it was forced to pay 1.05 billion dollars to Apple, and if the Americans are willing to license the technologies to others, then they should he does it to them too.

The judge who presided over the case noted in the decision that he is skeptical about Samsung's chances of proving what it proposes, but even so he gave them the opportunity to see the details of that agreement. Samsung also wants to see how important the functions licensed by Apple are, calculating their importance based on the amounts charged by the company from HTC. This is an attempt by those from Samsung to avoid paying the amount to which it was obliged, but also to keep its products on the market and it remains to be seen if it will be successful.
