Apple is asking for Tom Tom's help in solving iOS 6 Maps issues with points of interest

Tonight I told you that Apple has fired the manager who oversaw the development of iOS 6 Maps, and the information about this project continues, Tom Tom being apparently co-opted as the company that will provide information about points of interest in Apple Maps. Those from Tom Tom have a very large database that includes extremely many points of interest, they will complement those of Yelp or will be present for the first time in certain countries and unfortunately for Romania the news is bad.

The Romanian maps from the Tom Tom application available in the App Store are nowhere near as detailed as those from Google Maps, iGo or Navigon, and the same can be said about the points of interest. Apple is still interested in collaborating with other companies to include more points of interest in iOS 6 Maps, so for Europe they could choose other partners besides those from Tom Tom, so we can only hope that we will get the attention we think we deserve.

Apple already uses information from Tom Tom for its maps, so expanding the collaboration for points of interest is as logical as possible.
