Microsoft Surface Pro will have only half the autonomy of iPad tablets

From iPad 1 to iPad 4, Apple has maintained a standard in terms of autonomy, more precisely it offers users approximately 10 hours of use for the tablet. Same thing will not be available and in the case Microsoft Surface Pro, the newest tablet that Microsoft is going to sell starting in January. In a tweet published yesterday, Panos Panay, the man who oversees the entire Surface tablet project, said that the Surface Pro will have half the autonomy of the Surface RT, that is between 4 and a half hours and 5 hours.

Microsoft Surface RT it has the same autonomy as any iPad tablet, but the Surface Pro will not come close to those values, and this confirms again what Ballmer said, who presented the new product as a potential replacement for ultrabooks/notebooks and not necessarily tablets. It was also quite logical that a tablet with an Intel i5 processor would not reach 10 hours of autonomy, now we have an official confirmation, so if you intend to purchase one you will know how much you will be able to use it.
