Orange and CNADNR announced today the launch of a service that allows you to purchase the scraps by sending an SMS to a short number. You can find more details in the press release below.
Bucharest, December 4, 2012. Starting from December 5, Orange Romania, in partnership with the National Company of National Highways and National Roads in Romania, is launching a national first toll payment system with a mobile phone.
Thus, Orange customers can request the scratch card by a simple SMS sent to the number 7500, with the registration number and the letter corresponding to the scratch card category for their type of vehicle. For example, for a car with registration number B54AJV, the customer will send B54AJV A to the short number 7500. After submitting the request, customers receive the details of the request and the fee for issuing the vignette, which they confirm by replying "YES" via SMS. At that moment, customers will receive, also by SMS, confirmation of the issuance of the ticket with all the necessary information: the ticket series, the registration number, the category of the ticket, the type of vehicle, the validity period and information on how to check the ticket on the websitewww.cnadnr.ro. With this confirmation, Orange PrePay customers will have the amount required to pay the requested fee withdrawn from their account, and in the case of customers with a subscription, the payment amount will be found on the service invoice. Each message sent to the number 7500 has the standard rate of 5 euro cents/SMS sent. Damage claims can be requested for multiple vehicles from the same phone number.
Also, if customers want to find out information about the categories of wreckage corresponding to each type of vehicle, they can send an SMS with the text INFO to 7500 and they will receive back a written message with all the necessary details.
"By launching phone payment services, we aim to bring the benefits of technology closer to our customers, offering them fast and efficient alternative payment solutions. The payment of the toll via SMS is a service that facilitates the collection in conditions of maximum convenience of the tariff for the use of national roads in Romania", said Gabriela Voinea, Senior Partnership Manager, Orange Romania.
In the first stage, the scrap via SMS is available for the shortest period of validity corresponding to each vehicle category from A to F, as follows: 7 days for categories A or B and 1 day for categories C, D, E or F. Thus , the rates are as follows: 2,74 euros for vehicles in category A with a validity period of 7 days, 5,4 euros for vehicles in category B with validity of 7 days, 3,63 euros for vehicles in category C valid for 1 day, 6,21 euros for vehicles in category D with 1 day validity, 7,82 euros for vehicles in category E with 1 day validity and 9,43 euros for vehicles in category F with validity of 1 day.
The service was developed in partnership with CNADNR, with the technical support of the Special Telecommunications Service.
