Facebook Poke is an application launched this evening by Facebook for the iOS platform, it allows users to poke friends with messages, pictures or videos. The application connects directly to the Facebook infrastructure, its functionality boils down to what I described above and basically it represents a new method of interacting with your friends, but in a much more limited way compared to the one available in the Facebook application for iOS.

Facebook Poke is available for free in the App Store, but it only works natively on iPhone/iPod Touch.
