iPad Mini is hard to find in China, records strong sales

Although it may seem hard to believe, the iPad Mini tablet register an important success in China, a country where there are hundreds of Android tablet models at attractive prices. According to an analyst who monitors the local market, the iPad Mini tablet is hard to find in Chinese stores, at least in those where it is officially sold by Apple. The iPad Mini was officially launched on December 7 in China, when it was noticed that few people were present in the queues in front of Apple stores, but this was only because many online orders were placed and the tablets were delivered to customers' homes.

Prior to the China launch, we indicated that the iPad mini would be the 'next big thing in China' and we believe this phenomenon is starting to develop. In our view, the smaller form factor and lower price point will allow Apple to sell the iPad mini in more meaningful volumes versus the regular-size iPad.

The iPad Mini seems to have surpassed the recently launched iPad 4 in popularity, but for now it is not known how many units have been sold in China. It was normal for the new tablet to attract the interest of many people, unfortunately the sales of iPad 2/4 tablets decreased, most likely as a result of the launch of the iPad Mini, but Apple earns enough money not to be strongly affected by consumer choices .
