Here is a good method to make your iDevice more secure

For all those who use a Passcode on their own iDevice, or just want to have more secure passwords, there is a method good, by which you can ensure that your passwords will be hard to guess or break. It all involves removing normal letters and using diacritics in your passwords. The iOS keyboard can allow you to use such characters and hackers will need more time to crack or guess a password if it contains letters with diacritics, instead of normal letters, or together with them.

To use a complex password with your PassCode, you must go to Settings -> General -> Passcode Lock and disable the Simple PassCode option, but you will have to get used to the idea that it will be more difficult to unlock your terminals by entering a password more complex. A passcode of only 4 digits is usually good enough to protect your iDevice against strangers, but a hacker can unlock the terminal without much effort.
