For years it has been rumored that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), would launch iWallet, a digital wallet through which we could make payments using technology NFC, and here is the US Patent and Trademark Office published recently a patent covering this technology. The Apple company was recently registered 48 patents, and this one for iWallet complements one registered to Apple a few months ago, describing a mobile payment method using an iDevice and a system designed by Apple.
Basically, Apple thought of an application for iOS that together with a wireless payment system allows users to quickly make payments wherever they are, all without taking a penny out of their pocket. No one knows if Apple will ever bring this technology to market, but anything is possible.
Great philosophy... Even if I'm a fan.. Sometimes they have all the """" inventions
@Andreas, let them patent everything that comes to their mind so that later they come from Samsung to say that they did it
It's good that it doesn't work in the automotive industry, because today nobody could only use a steering wheel and a gear shifter....:)
Especially since contactless payments have been used for many years abroad, and even in Romania, I know some people who have gotten used to paying with their phone (BlackBerry and Android) (without actually taking money out of their pocket).
And in Apple's specific way, only in iOS 8 will they add this new patent, which has been on the market for years.
