Tonight evasi0n was launched for iDevice owners, but the applications through which it is implemented jailbreak- are not without problems, and unfortunately many people have encountered them. He claims that every message displayed by evasi0n during the jailbreak it flashes when the application is working, and if that text does not flash, it means that the process is blocked and you have to reset the iDevice by simultaneously pressing the Home + Lock buttons until the screen closes and the apple appears.
If things are still happening, Initializing offsets..., Finding offsets..., Patching kernel..., Cleaning up... should all blink gray every second. If it's stopped blinking, then it means nothing is actually happening. At this point, you can force a hard reboot and it should work fine on the next reboot. You can also wait for the watchdog timer to reboot the phone automatically after ~10 minutes. Either way is fine.
Blocking is "normal" during such a process, and the evasi0n applications are configured to automatically reset the terminals after 10 minutes of inactivity, but it is not necessary to wait that long, you can act yourself when necessary.
