iWatch became the general name that most American journalists, and not only, gave to a possible SmartWatch produced by the Apple company. A New York Times journalist says that talked to people close to a project through which the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), develop a SmartWatch equipped with a curved screen. The device would be tested inside the Apple campus in Cupertino, it would run a modified version of iOS and of course it would connect to the iDevices also produced by Apple.
In its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., Apple is experimenting with wristwatch-like devices made of curved glass, according to people familiar with the company's explorations, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because they are not allowed to publicly discuss unreleased products. Such a watch would operate Apple's iOS platform, two people said, and stand apart from competitors based on the company's understanding of how such glass can curve around the human body.
The idea of developing a smartwatch with a curved screen is being tested by Apple based on how such a device would "mould" on the hands of the users, but for now we are only talking about rumours. A smartwatch produced by Apple could interact with Siri, with the applications iMessage, Mail, Phone, Calendar, Reminders, Photos, with the Notifications Center and the imagination is only limited to what Apple would like to offer us.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that Apple will launch an iWatch in the near future, but if it decides to do so, it would be extremely successful.
