passbook is a useless application in Romania, but extremely useful abroad, it allows iDevice owners to store vouchers, gift coupons, plane/match/cinema tickets, membership cards and much more, and then display them at the locations where they use them. The application also offers notifications depending on the location where the users are, it being supported by many companies from abroad, some of them also being valid in Romania. SamsungWallet is a copied application developed by Samsung and your presence la Mobile World Congress 2013, and it works exactly like passbook.

Apart from the icon and some interface changes, SamsungWallet it copies the Passbook functionality without fail and, just like Apple's application, it does not work via NFC for now. Apple patented the Passbook functionality, and what it hasn't patented yet, it will patent in the future, but for Samsung it doesn't matter, because the lawsuits won't force the company not to offer users this application, even if they basically took everything from Apple and don't have developed something yourself.

Having said that, Samsung is innovating again.
