iBooks has been downloaded over 130 million times worldwide

  IERI (Yesterday) Apple has released a new version of iBooks which contains some news specially implemented for the Asian continent, all before iBookstore Japan is officially launched. Apple published a press release for this event, announcing that the iBooks application has been downloaded 130 million times and here we are talking about unique downloads, not including re-downloads or updates. The iBooks application was launched in 2010 and has been updated over the years, the most important update taking place after an Apple conference in New York where the company announced its interest in strengthening the relationship with the academic environment.

The iBookstore is available in 51 countries and offers hundreds of categories including cookbooks, history books, biographies, picture books and children's books with free books available in 155 countries. The iBooks® app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch has been downloaded 130 million times worldwide.

  iBooks is available for free in universal format in the App Store, and in Romania there has been an iBookstore for some time.
