Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), si Intel they are two companies that have been collaborating closely for years, and the recent need of those from Apple to get rid of Samsung sent them into the arms of the biggest seller of processors for computers. It seems that in recent months the people from the management teams of the two companies they had discussions regarding the conclusion of an agreement that would make Intel the main manufacturer of chips that are used in Apple's iDevices.
Intel has the production capacity to immediately replace Samsung, it can give Apple more options for manufacturing those chips, so it seems like a logical choice for a company that sells hundreds of millions of iDevices annually. So far there have only been discussions and no agreement has been concluded, but it is clear that Apple needs a solution to get rid of Samsung, and the Taiwanese from TSMC are not proving to be good enough.
