Apple Maps proves to be better than Google Maps or Waze in a new test

A lot of people criticized Apple for the removal Google Maps from iOS 6 and the implementation of the Apple Maps system itself, and although the beginning was difficult, now things are starting to improve. PCMag tested Apple Maps, Google Maps si Waze to see which of the 3 services provides the best directions to certain points in the San Francisco metropolitan area, and Apple Maps came out the winner, bringing the user to the destination a few minutes before the one using Google Maps.

But then from that location to a lunch spot, Glenn and I followed each other. Suddenly, Glenn jumped on to the freeway as Google Maps directed me through the city streets for a cut across town. At the time, this seemed like a better route, not to mention a more scenic one. But the long stoplights in Sunnyvale are dreadful. Glenn arrived at least five minutes ahead of me. I gave the nod to Apple and now wonder what the fuss was about. I have loved Google Maps until recently. I'm noticing that it is getting a little ragged.

Although the test was done in California, an area where Apple is based and is extremely interested in improving its services, this does not mean that things are similar in Romania, for example. Until now, Google Maps has proven to be the best service in our country, but the problem with us is that Apple Maps does not have maps that are so well updated, and even if it would direct us to certain destinations without problems, it it becomes useless when it does not contain information about what interests us.
