PPSSPP it wants to be the first emulator PSP which will be able to run the respective games on mobile terminals, including those running iOS. In the video clip above you have a demonstration of how the emulator works, but unfortunately it is in the early stages of development, so it will be several months before we have a beta version available for download. The idea of the developers was to bring to the current mobile terminals some of the classic titles, which have enjoyed millions of users and the software will be available for free when it is complete.

This is the first and currently only PSP emulator to run on iOS and it runs a lot better than I was expecting. The iOS version is currently not available on ppsspp.org but you can compile a build from the source code on git hub. Some users are also posting pre-compiled builds on the ppsspp forums. PPSSPP is an open source project, licensed under the GPL 2.0 (or later). Anyone is welcome to contribute their improvements to the code, and the hope is that over time this will resolve the compatibility problem, letting us all play the PSP games we want on the devices of our choice.

Unfortunately the emulator can't run any kind of games, so the developers have to make the titles compatible with PPSSPP, and that will probably kill the whole project in the end. The fact that the project will be available only on terminals that have will most likely contribute to its premature death jailbreak, so not many people will rush to use it.
