Apple is going to use TSMC to manufacture the A7 chip in future iPhones

We already told you that Samsung executives are complaining about the fact that Apple did not contract them to manufacture future iPhone chips, and today we find out that TSMC will be the second largest chip manufacturer A7. It seems that the Taiwanese will advance the start of the chip manufacturing process by 2 months A7, apparently for iPhone 6, their factories will produce this component starting from April. Samsung still has exclusivity regarding the manufacturing of iDevice chips, but it would end in June and Apple does not intend to extend it.

TSMC would produce the new A7 chip using a 20nm manufacturing process, and this would bring us better performance both on the software side and in terms of battery autonomy. The question that many are asking now is: what kind of chip will Apple use in the iPhone 5S that will be released in the summer since the first A7 chips would arrive at Foxconn only in 2014? Well, no one knows, but Apple could use an A6 chip developed using a better manufacturing process and could increase the frequency of the processor to provide better performance and high autonomy.

We don't know what Apple will do yet, but it is clear that the separation from Samsung is not far away.
