As part of the contest regarding setting the record of 50 billion downloads by App Store, company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), also published a list of the best applications from App Store. The list contains the applications from the App Store that were bought the most times, but also the list of free applications that generated the largest downloads. Considering that we are talking about an "all-time" top, we are talking about the total downloads recorded by the applications since their launch until now.
Apple's lists display different sets of applications for each country, so everything you see for Romania will not be available in other countries around the world. In our country WhatsApp Messenger is the most purchased application for iPhone of all time, again Facebook is the most downloaded free application. For iPad applications Pages, Numbers si Keynote were the most purchased, and Skype or Whatsapp, Facebook si Angry Birds HD Free were the most downloaded free applications.

Ha ha, is the Facebokk application in this top? Let's be serious, rather it should have been at the bottom of the ranking. I wonder, how much Facebook would have contributed to this top...or what agreements would the two companies have?
