Google I/O raises the bar for WWDC 2013

During the last evening Google organised Google I/O, a 3-hour conference in which the Google company presented numerous news for its services, but also a new product. The markets reacted positively to Google's news, the value of the company's shares exceeded $900 for the first time and the value of the stock market capitalization exceeded $300 billion. Google pleasantly surprised quite a lot of people with news for Google Maps, Google Now, with the launch of the application Hangouts, the implementation of new services for developers, etc., and raised the bar for WWDC 2013 which will start on June 10.

Google strategically positioned its I/O just one month before WWDC and has now sent the ball into Apple's court, which must hold an event at least as spectacular. Apple is preparing to present iOS 7, OS X 10.9, probably new versions of Macs, but beyond that no one knows if Apple has anything else amazing. In general, the WWDC was seen as a very important event in which Apple presented hardware, the company's strategy changed, but the attention paid to it remained, all the tickets with the price of $1600 sold out in just two minutes.

Considering that the eyes of the whole world are on Apple on the evening of June 10, will the company manage to present at least as many interesting things as Google? It is hard to say, it is possible to see news related to Apple Maps, it is possible to see news related to Siri, we will definitely see many new things related to iOS 7 and OS X 10.9, but without an iPhone presented then the world will remain somewhat disappointed. Google has shown that in order to keep developers and users happy, innovation is needed, the implementation of news, now it remains to be seen if Apple will make a WWDC more interesting than last year when iOS 6 did not shine.
