In the Netherlands, Apple has opened several lawsuits against those from Samsung, and in one of them a court decided that the Samsung Galaxy Tab does not infringe Apple's patents regarding the iPad tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was attacked by Apple, and the supreme court in the Netherlands won the Koreans' cause, preventing the ban on sales in the Netherlands and eventually in the whole of Europe, considering that through the subsidiary in the Netherlands, Samsung distributes tablets throughout Europe.
Apple was not the first tablet designed with a rectangular shape and rounded corners. No company should have a monopoly on general design.
The decision given by the Supreme Court today is a definitive one that Apple can no longer challenge, as it confirmed another time last year.
