As part of the new Privacy menu, we have in iOS 7 a new option that allows us to restrict the access of applications to the microphone included by Apple in our iDevices. In native mode, the applications will ask us for permission to use the microphone and we can grant or deny them access, depending on our preferences. Through the menu Settings>Privacy>Microphone we can manage the applications for which there is or is not permission to use the microphone in iDevices, apple choosing to implement this function probably after the American authorities put pressure on the US companies to improve security measures.
